而“痴狂” 用英语该如何表达了?类似的“画痴”、“花痴”又该如何表达了,下面我为大家一一讲解:
迷恋某物:
1. love/adore: 很喜欢
注意:''adore''比''love''感情更强烈,但''love''更常用。
例:
We had a great time at Disneyland. The kids
loved it.(我们在迪士尼玩得很开心,孩子们太喜欢那儿了。)
I adore chocolate - I could live on it.(我非常爱吃巧克力,甚至可以当饭吃。)
Jazz adored being the center of
attention.(杰西很喜欢成为焦点。)
2. be crazy about/ be mad about something: to be extremely interested in an activity and spend a lot of time
doing it or watching it
例:
Jonah's crazy about basketball.(乔娜爱球成痴。)
She's always been mad about horse-riding.(她一直酷爱骑马。)
3. be attached to:
例:
Mom gets very attached to her pets.(妈妈非常喜欢她的宠物。)
He had become quite attached to the
comforts of his London home.(伦敦的房子很舒适,他非常喜欢。)
备注:也可以用来表达迷恋某人,网路上也有一系列曾经被疯传的影片《Overly Attached Girlfriend》(超粘人女友)。
4. have a passion for: to like an
activity very much, because it gives you a lot of pleasure or excitement
例:
From a very early age he has had a passion for
fast cars.(从小他就喜欢开快车。)
To be a great performer, you have to work
very hard and have a passion for the music you play.(想成为一名优秀的表演者,你得非常努力,得对所表演的音乐充满热情。)
5. be addicted to: 上瘾、沉迷、不可自拔
例:
My son is addicted to computer games - he
hardly ever comes out of his room.(我儿子沉迷于打游戏,他几乎不出房间一直打。)
I started watching the show out of
curiosity, but now I'm addicted!(我看这个表演开始纯粹出于好奇,现在不可自拔。)
迷恋某人:
1. love:
例:
He was the only man she had ever loved.(他是她唯一爱过的人。)
We still love each other very much.(我们仍然深爱彼此。)
2. be in love:
例:
How can you marry Adam when you're in love
with someone else?(你怎么能一边爱着别人,一边还跟亚当结婚呢?)
We were both seventeen and madly in love.(我们当时都是17岁,疯狂地爱恋彼此。)
3. be crazy about:
备注:一般用于口语中。
例:
Jo's crazy about you.(乔疯狂地迷恋着你。)
4. be nuts about:
备注:一般用于口语中。
例:美剧《老友记》S01E22:
情境:Monica跟一个年龄比她小很多的男生恋爱,她说“我对你着了迷一般。”
Monica: I mean, basically, I'm nuts about
you.
5. fancy: to be sexually attracted
to someone
备注:这是英式英语的口语用法。
例:
All the girls fancy Bob.(女孩儿们都喜欢鲍勃。)
I think Stevie fancies you.(我觉得史蒂夫喜欢你。)
6. have a crush on: if someone,
especially a young person, has a crush on someone they have an uncontrollable
feeling of love for them, especially when there is no chance of having a
relationship with them 不可抑制地喜欢某人
例:
It is quite normal for adolescents to have
crushes on pop stars.(青少年喜欢明星很正常。)
The only reason I went to church every
Sunday was that I had a crush on the minister.(我每周末都去教堂,纯粹因为我喜欢那个牧师。)
备注:Crush独立作名词使用也可以解作”喜欢的人“,例:I blush when I see my crush. (我看见喜欢的人就会脸红。)
