1. Ted: Whole weekend with the future in-laws , you excited?

解析:

in-law:

She was nervous when she met her in-laws for the first time.

2. Robin: So, probably hanging out with Barney then?

解析:

hang out with somebody: to spend time relaxing, talking or doing something with someone

He spent a couple of days hanging out with his old friends.

3. Barney: The Lusty Leopard has a surprisingly good Thanksgiving buffet .

解析:

buffet: a meal at a party or other occasion, in which people serve themselves at a table and then move away to eat 自助餐

例:

buffet breakfast/lunch/supper (自助早餐、自助午餐、自助晚餐)

The price includes morning coffee, buffet lunch, and afternoon tea.

4. Ted: Yeah, I thought I'd just spend the day giving back, you know, doing some good .

解析:

do good: to do kind or helpful things

例:

She tried to make the community better by doing good.

She has done a lot of good in the community.

5. Robin: Canceling out Barney.

解析:

cancel out:

The costs cancel out the benefits.

6. And as Lily stepped into her fiancé's boyhood home, she received a big welcome .

解析:

welcome

He extended a warm welcome to the new family in town.

They gave us a cold welcome .

His suggestion was given a cold welcome.

7. Mr. Ericksen: Where's my almost daughter-in-law?

8. Mr. Ericksen: All right now, no farting around . Put your skates and your pads on, boys. Game on in five minutes.

fart around: to waste time, to spend time doing activities that have no serious purpose

Quit farting around and finish your homework.

9.

Marcus: And I'm the best.

Marshall: You wish .

You wish. / Don't you wish.: used to tell people in a rude way that it is unlikely that they will get what they want

Give you a kiss? You wish.

You think she's going to ask you out? Don't you wish!
