1. camouflage：伪装，掩饰

例：

The equipment was camouflaged with the grass and leaves.

用树叶和青草对设备加以伪装。

The locusts changed their color to camouflage themselves.

蝗虫通过改变颜色来伪装自己。

The killer set the house on fire to camouflage the bloodstain.

杀手为了掩饰血迹而烧了房子。

2. disguise：伪装，隐瞒，假扮

例：

She didn’t recognize the murder because he disguised his voice.

她没能辨识出凶手，因为他伪装了他的声音。

She tried to disguise her emotion with leaving.

她想用离开掩饰自己的感情。

It is hard to disguise handwriting.

伪装笔迹没那么容易。

3. Pretend：伪装，假装

例：

Pretending ignorance of the law but breaking it is shameful.

假装不知法而犯法是很可耻的。

Don’t pretend to know what you don’t know.

不要不懂装懂。

She pretended to like the gift.

她装作很喜欢这个礼物的样子。

4. cloak：遮掩，隐匿

例：

She low her head to cloak the sorrow in her eyes.

她低下头以掩饰眼中的伤痛。

Explanation is cloak which is the beginning of lies.

解释就是掩饰，掩饰是谎言的开始。

She dusted the face with powder to cloak black rim of the eyes.

她涂了粉来掩饰黑眼圈。

5. mask：掩饰，戴面具

例：

He masks his embarrass very well.

他把自己的尴尬掩饰的很好。

I hope my friends can be themselves, no mask when we get along.

我希望我的朋友在我们相处的时候能做自己而不是伪装自己。

The world puts off its mask of vastness to its lover.

世界对着它的爱人，把它浩瀚的面具揭了下来。

cloak 指采取伪装来掩盖或隐藏真实面目或本性或企图;

mask 本义为“面罩”，引申“掩饰”解时，指掩饰某物的真实性质或存在的伪装;

disguise 指改变装束或外表以掩饰自己的真面目或冒充他人。有时仅指掩饰感情、动机或意图。
