1. I don't care.
I don't care what others think about me.
I don't care what my parents say; I am
going to the party.(不管我爸妈说什么,我就是要去这个派对。)
''What do you think I should do?'' ''I don't care. Do what you want.''
She doesn't care about anything except
注意:I don't care.与I don't mind.
''Do you mind if check my messages?''
''No, go ahead.''(不介意,用吧。)
I don't
2. be okay
Rachel: Well, you know, as much fun as that
was, I've decided to opt for sanity.(我选择理智放弃,不要纠缠了。)
Chandler: So you're really OK about all this?
Rachel: Oh yeah, come on, I'm moving on.
3. for all I care: say this when
you do not care at all what someone does or what happens to them, especially
when you are annoyed with them
Rachel: Oh yeah, come on, I'm moving on. He
can press her up against that window as much as he wants. For all I care,
he can throw her through the damn thing.(我放下了。
''David’s moving to Boston.'' ''He can move to Timbuktu, for all I care.''
I don't want to hear any more about her.
She can drop dead for all I care.(我再也不想听她的事了,她去死我都不介意。)
4. whatever: used as a reply to tell someone that something does not matter, or that
you do not care or are not interested when they ask or tell you something对别人的问话或提议无所谓、不关心、没兴趣
例:
''Do you want sausage or pepperoni on your
pizza?'' ''Whatever.''
''It was Monday, not Tuesday.'' ''Whatever.''
