1. (right) under somebody's nose : 在某人眼皮底下犯案；很明显

例：

The drugs were smuggled in right under the noses of the security guards. （他们在保安眼皮底下把毒品带进来。）

The key was right under my nose all the time. （钥匙原来一直在我面前，我居然没看见。）

The answer was right under our noses the whole time. （答案原来一直就摆在我们面前，这么明显我们都没发现。）

2. as plain as the nose on your face : very clear or obvious

备注：这是较口语化的用法。

例：

The solution is as plain as the nose on your face. （解决方法再明显不过了。）

（二） 傲慢

1. turn your nose up (at something) : to refuse to accept something because you do not think it is good enough for you 不屑一顾

例：

I offered the cat some food, but it turned up its nose and walked away. （我拿了点东西给小猫吃，但它不屑一顾走开了。）

My children turn their noses up at home cooking. （孩子们对家常菜不屑一顾。）

They turned up their noses at our offer. （他们拒绝了我们的邀请。）

He turned up his nose at a job washing dishes. （他对洗碗的工作不屑一顾。）

2. with your nose in the air : behaving as if you are more important than other people and not talking to them

例：

She just walked past with her nose in the air. （她傲慢地走过。）

She walks around with her nose in the air like she's some big shot. （她傲慢地走来走去，好像自己是什么大人物。）

3. thumb your nose at : to show very clearly that you do not like or care about (something)

例：

She thumbed her nose at my suggestions. （她对我的建议嗤之以鼻。）

She thumbed her nose at the rules. （她根本不把纪律放在眼里。）

a chance to thumb his nose at the college authorities （一个跟学校领导叫板的机会）

4. look down your nose at : to think of or treat (someone or something) as unimportant or not worthy of respect

例：

She looked down her nose at her neighbors. （她看不起她的邻居。）

writers who look down their noses at popular culture （看不起通俗文化的作家）

（三） 管闲事、少管闲事、不关我的事

1. stick/poke your nose into something : to become involved in something that does not concern you, in a way that annoys people 管别人闲事

例：

She always has to stick her nose into matters that do not concern her. （不关她的事，她总要管。）

He's always been poking his nose into other people's business. （他总管别人闲事。）

2. keep your nose out (of something) : to avoid becoming involved in something that does not concern you 别管别人闲事

备注：它与 ''stick/poke your nose into something'' 意思正好相反。

例：

I wish he'd keep his nose out of my business! （但愿他别管我的事！）

It's not your problem, so keep his nose out of it. （这不是你的错，所以你别管。）

3. no skin off my nose : say this when you do not care what someone else does because it does not affect you in any way 不关我的事

例：

Go if you like - it's no skin off my nose. （你想走就走吧。反正也不关我事。）

If my sister wants to throw her money away, then fine. It's no skin off my nose. （我姐要是想撒钱，行啊，反正不关我事。）

If she doesn't want me to help, it's no skin off my nose. （如果她不要我帮忙，那也无所谓啊。）
