1. Believe：相信，信任

例：

Believe in：have a firm conviction as to the goodness of something

例：

All of them believe in Buddhism.

2. Rely：信赖，依赖

例：

You must rely on your own there. Don’t expect anyone can help you.

在那儿你只能信赖你自己，不要指望任何人可以帮到你。

We must rely on our comrades in the war.

在战场上，我们必须相信我们的战友。

All of these freedoms rely on tolerance.

3. Trust：信任，信赖

例：

Trust me. I won’t break the promise.

Believe 是普通用词，常表示一种缓和、不太肯定的口气；rely指在相信的基础上可进一步依靠，着重可靠性；trust指绝对相信或依赖某人；confide侧重忠诚可靠与可信赖。
