1. blame: to say or think that
someone is responsible for something bad that has happened
例:
It's your idea - don't blame me if it
doesn't work.(这是你的主意,到时候不顶用,别来怪我。)
Everyone wants to blame the referees when
their team loses.(球队输了,大家都怨裁判不公。)
The decision to increase interest rates was widely blamed (= blamed

2. put/lay/place the blame on somebody: to say who you think is responsible for something bad that has
happened, often unfairly or wrongly

Farmers have laid the blame for their
problems entirely on EU policies.(农民把自己的困境都归咎于欧盟政策不好。)

How can you say it's my fault that you lost

4. accuse: to say that someone is
guilty of a crime or of doing something bad
例:
They're accusing me without any proof.(他们没证据就来控告我。)
Are you accusing her of lying?(你说她说谎?)
The woman was accused of having beaten her
four-year-old daughter.(这个女人被控毒打她4岁的女儿。)
Scott has been accused of first-degree
murder.(斯科特被控一级谋杀罪。)
5. hold somebody responsible: to say
that it is someone's fault that something bad has happened because you think it
was their duty to prevent this from happening
例:
It's your decision - you can't hold me
responsible if it goes wrong.(这是你的决定,将来有什么问题别找我。)

Alex still holds his mother responsible for

angry with the person who tells you about something bad, instead of the person
