说到在句子中做状语成分的“特别”，大家首先想到的肯定是especially。没错，这个词是最常用的，但是口语或写作都要力求语言丰富，现在我们来介绍几个不同的表达。

1. especially/particularly

举几个例子：

（1）used to emphasize that something is more important or happens more with one particular thing than others强调某事更重要或更易发生；何况：

例：

I never liked long walks, especially in winter. （我本就不喜欢长途跋涉，冬天更甚。）

Art books are expensive to produce, especially if they contain color illustrations. （一般艺术图书造价就贵，有彩图的更贵。）

（2）to a particular high degree or much more than usual（喜欢、讨厌、重要）到一定地步；特别：

I was especially fond of chocolate biscuits.（我特别喜欢吃巧克力饼干。）

（3）for a particular person or thing特地为……：

She bought a new pair of trainers especially for her trip. （为了此次旅行，她特地新买了双球鞋。）

2. specially: 是口语用法，在有些表达中，可代替especially

例：

I bought it specially for you. （我特地给你买的。）

We specially wanted to see the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre.（我们就想去看看埃菲尔铁塔和蒙马特区。）

You really need a car--specially when you live a long way from the nearest town. （你真的需要买辆车，特别是你离市镇那么远。）

3. in particular=especially特别

例：

It was a good concert-- I enjoyed the last song in particular. （整场音乐会都不错。我特别喜欢最后一首歌。）

Was there anything in particular that you want to talk about? （你有没有什么特别想谈论的话题？）

4. above all：used to emphasize that something is more important than all the other things you have mentioned 最……

例：

Get plenty of sleep, eat lots of good food, and above all try to relax. （吃好睡好，最重要的是放松心情。）

John felt sad, embarrassed, but above all angry that Anna could treat him like this.（安娜这么对他，约翰感到伤心、尴尬之余，最是气愤。）

5. most of all: more than anything or anyone else 强调……比其他人/事/物都……

例：

Swimming and soccer are fun, but I like dancing most of all. （游泳和足球都很好玩，但是我更喜欢跳舞。）

He was friendly and intelligent, but most of all he was a good worker. （他不仅聪明友善，更是个好员工。）

Out of everybody at school she was the person who helped me most of all. （学校同学中，她帮了我最多。）

6. least of all=especially not 尤其不会……

例：

She told no one, least of all her husband, what she planned to do. （她没告诉任何人她的打算，尤其是他丈夫。）

Nobody wants to stop you from following the career of your choice, least of all me.（你自己选的路，没人会阻止你，我更不会。）

7. of all people: used to say that someone is the person you would least or most expect to do something这是个口语用法，你觉得某人最应该或最不应该做某事 ；used when sb has said or done something you think is very surprising or unlikely for them to do or say某人说了不妥的话或做了不妥的事时，可以用这个短语，含有一定的诘责的语气。

例：

You of all people shouldn't be calling him worthless. （众人中你最不应该说他没用啊！）

You of all people should have known better. （你应该知道得最清楚！）

Why should he, of all people, get a promotion? （他凭什么升职？！）

8. more than anyone：more than any other person 强调某人比任何人都……

例：

You more than anyone should know how difficult it is to raise a child alone. （你应该知道得最清楚，独自抚养孩子多困难。）
