1. rest: to stop working or stop being active, and sit down or lie down so that you become less tired

例：

If you're tired, we'll stop and rest for a while. （你累了，我们就停下歇会。）

The doctor told me to take some time off work and try to rest. （医生让我请一段时间的假休息一下。）

2. take a rest: to rest for a short time in the middle of a tiring activity

例：

Don't stay in front of the computer for long periods of time—take a rest occasionally. （用电脑别用太久，时不时也要休息一下。）

3. take a break: to stop what you are doing for a short time, so that you can rest

5. put your feet up: to rest for a short time after a tiring activity, especially by sitting with your feet resting on something

6. laze: to spend time relaxing （lazy的动词形式）

7. take it easy:
