（1） fix: to deal with or correct (a problem) 解决问题

（2） talk (some) sense into/to somebody: to cause someone to stop thinking or behaving foolishly 劝某人理智点、别犯傻             

备注： ''talk (some) sense into/to somebody'' 是非正式的用法。

例：

I couldn't talk sense to him. （我劝不动他。）

He talked some sense into her and she promised she would get rid of that dangerous car. （他劝她理智点、别冒险，她答应说她不再开那辆危险的车。）

2. Ted: Tell Claudia I'm sorry. Did she seem pissed at me ? （告诉克劳迪娅我很抱歉。她是不是很生我的气了？）

解析：

pissed: very angry or annoyed at someone 非常生某人的气

备注：或者作 ''pissed off'' ，只用于美式英语中，较没礼貌，用时注意说话的对象。

例：

She's pissed at her boyfriend for not calling her. （她男朋友没给她打电话，她很生气。）

I got really pissed when she said that! （她那么说，我真的气死了。）

Aren't you pissed off when your team lost? （你们队输了，你没生气啊？）

3. Stuart: Marshall and Ted set me straight . （马修和泰德纠正了我的想法。）

解析：

set somebody straight: 纠正了某人的想法

例：

She set him right/straight about what happened. (= She told him that he was wrong and explained what really happened.) （她纠正了他的想法，告诉他发生了什么事。）

补充一些类似用法：

这里的 ''set'' 意思是 ''to cause something to be in a specified condition'' 。让某事物进入某种状态

例：

4. Robin: They want me to anchor the news tonight. （他们想让我做今晚新闻的主播。）

解析：

anchor: v. to read the news on a television broadcast 做新闻主播

备注： ''anchor'' 仅用在美式英语中。

例：

She anchors the nightly news broadcast. （她是晚间新闻主播。）

补充： anchorman （男主播）， anchorwoman （女主播）。

5. Barney: If that dude can bag a nine, I gotta be able to bag like a sixteen. （如果那位老兄都能钓到 9 分女，那我都能找到个 16 分的！）

解析：

bag: v. to get something desired 得到想要的东西

例：

I bagged the last seat so everyone else had to stand. （我坐了最后一个座位，其他人只得站着。）

6. Stuart: Yeah, where is she? （对，她在哪儿呢？）

Ted: She couldn't make it . （她没能来。）

解析：

make it: to reach a particular place or goal 到达某地或达到某目标

例：

Welcome to the party. I'm glad you could make it! （欢迎你们来我的派对，我真高兴你们能来！）

The ship made it to port. （船进港了。）

You will never make it that far. （你永远走不了那么远。）

The climbers finally made it to the top of the mountain. （登山者最终登顶了。）

If we hurry, we can still make it home before dark. （加快速度，我们还是能在天黑前到家的。）
