1. everywhere: in or to every part of a place or country

备注：美式英语的非正式场合中常用''every place''。

例：

The whole street was flooded - there was water everywhere. （整条街都被水淹了，到处都是水。）

Where did you find my keys? I've been looking everywhere for them. （你从哪儿找到我的钥匙的？我到处找都没找到。）

You see bank machines everywhere nowadays. （如今，取款机随处可见。）

I seemed to hear his music everywhere these days！（这几天好像到哪儿都能听见他的歌！）

His book is anxiously awaited by fans everywhere. （各地的粉丝都在期盼着他出新书。）

They go every place together. （他们去哪都是一起去的。）

everywhere in

There were beautiful rice fields everywhere in the region. （这个地区到处都是良田。）

everywhere else (=in every other place)

Doctors in Colorado, like doctors everywhere else, did not have enough of the vaccine. （科罗拉多州的医生和其他地方的医生一样，面临疫苗不够用的问题。）

2. all over: in or to many different parts of a town, country etc., especially when you want to say that you have been to many places

例：

We spent two weeks in Mexico and traveled all over. （我们在墨西哥呆了两周，到处都玩遍了。）

The choir has sung in concerts all over the country. （这个合唱团在全国各地的音乐会上都表演过了。）

Katie's toys were spread out all over the floor. （满地都是凯蒂的玩具。）

He went all over the place looking for a shop selling corkscrews but couldn't find one. （他寻遍了附近的商店，都找不到卖开瓶器的。）

3. throughout: in every part of an area or place

例：

You could hear their laughter throughout the building. （楼里到处都可以听到他们的笑声。）

The house is in excellent condition with fitted carpets throughout. （房子里到处都铺着地毯，这个房子好极了。）

4. wherever you go/look: if you find a particular thing wherever you go or look , you find it in all the different places that you go to or look in

例：

There seem to be fountains wherever you look in this park. （这个公园里好像到处都有喷泉。）

He seems to make friends wherever he goes. （他好像到哪儿都能交上朋友。）

5. here, there and everywhere: in many different places, without any particular plan or pattern

备注：''here, there and everywhere''常用于非正式的场合。

例：

We lived here, there, and everywhere as I was growing up. （我小时候经常搬家。）

The adults sat on the porch while the children ran here, there, and everywhere. （孩子们到处乱跑，大人们就坐在门廊上。）

6. nationwide: in every part of a country

例：

nationwide strike/demonstration/campaign

Workers held nationwide strikes and demonstrations all over Spain. （西班牙全国的工人都在罢工游行。）

nationwide search/hunt/study/survey

A nationwide hunt was launched yesterday for the killer of 13-year-old Nicola Jones. （昨天，全国到处都在搜寻杀死13岁的尼古拉·琼斯的凶手。）

a nationwide search for a missing British tourist（在全国范围内寻找一个失踪的英国籍游客）

7. widespread: happening in many places - use this especially about problems or bad situations that affect many areas or many countries

例：

There has been widespread flooding in Germany, and the rivers are still rising. （德国全境都在闹洪灾，水位还在不断上涨。）

Government corruption is widespread in the country. （这个国家到处可见政府部门的贪污腐败。）
